Stereotypes are used everyday wither a person knows it or not, the person that uses them may not catch themselves using them but others around may and they may take offense to them. Like in the Seinfeld clip stereotypes were thrown around quite a bit and Jerry did not catch it right away but others around did and some took offense to them. One example is how he asked the Chinese mailman for directions to the Chinese restaurant this was not really a stereotype because he was Chinese but because he was a mailman and he knows his way around the town and it just turned out he was Chinese. This is why you should think before you speak about people saying something that might insult them.
