Video Games Affects Crime Rates

Video games affect crime rate? This is something that most people would think is absolutely wrong. Most people would think that video games do the exact opposite; they think that the use of video games would make the crime rate go up. The reason why they think this is because the kids that play the video games learn to do the things that they do on the video games like steal, kill, and other bad habits. It’s believed that the kids that play these games would then go out after playing them and doing those such activities because they think its right because that’s what they do on the TV. In this article though it says that kids who play video games are most unlikely to be doing these things because they stay in the house playing the games that keep them busy and they take the anger out on the games that they would be taking out on the people if they were to go out and hurt or kill someone. It is also said that the X box and the TV are not the only electronics that are affecting the criminal society and crime rates. They say that cellphones and other devices like such are also lowering crime rates because people are using them to talk to others and do such things like drug deals and other things were people would be put at risk and have the possibility of being killed or beat up. Crime rate also is said to go down when they destroyed old houses and things like this because kids would go hang out in these places and would do drugs and also commit other crimes.

Another thing that scientists have found out that is that gasoline used to contain lead. Gas manufacturers took the lead out and tests say that when they did this people got smarter because the lead was getting into their system and affecting their mind.
