is there a true american culture?

These days I don’t think there is a true American culture anymore. The reason why I think this is because there are many things and mostly everything us Americans use are not from the United States. As in the article the man wakes up and everything that he uses in his everyday life is imported and made in foreign countries and not in the United States, so this would not make them an American project which would not make an American culture. Just think of today we wake up and go to school or go to town and how many people do we see that are not American? They may be American but they are not from America they originated from some other country. Look at all the restaurants that are originated from other countries food, when you walk in the aisles at the store how much of that food is pure American and not imported from other countries? Not just food look at the clothing that we wear. Shoes come from countries that are foreign, like Nikes they come from sweatshops in foreign countries. Shirts come from cotton from foreign countries. Cars come from foreign countries like the makes Toyota, Honda, and Suzuki, these car makes are Japanese and other vehicles are other countries. This is why I think there is no such thing as a true American culture anymore, because of all the things that modern Americans use today are from foreign countries and there is hardly anything used anymore by us Americans that is made in American.
